DocketScope, Inc.’s policy is to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect as you use our website or the DocketScope™ software. Accordingly, we have developed this privacy policy so you may understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and otherwise make use of personal information.  

DocketScope, Inc. collects personal information by lawful and fair means. We collect information from you when you register on our website, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form or enter information on our website. When users and visitors access the website or application, we may collect IP addresses and access dates, times, browser type, and operating system type in system logs. We reserve the right to perform statistical analysis of user behavior and characteristics to measure interest in and use various areas of the DocketScope website and application to improve our services. Any user information shared with agents or contractors who assist in providing support for our marketing activities or internal operations is subject to confidentiality agreements with these partners.  

For the purpose of registering subscribers and users, we collect names and addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, and payment information (e.g., credit card type and billing address). As soon as credit card information is processed, we delete all but the last four digits of the credit card numbers from our files.  

From DocketScope users, we may collect a variety of usage data, including categorization, labeling, and citation data. The information we collect is used to improve the functionality of DocketScope software.  

DocketScope will disclose the information it collects when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website. We do not use or sell the information for other purposes.  


DocketScope uses cookies to store visitors’ preferences; record session information, such as: 

  • items that customers add to their shopping cart, 
  • record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, and 
  • record past activity to provide better service when visitors return to our site. 

These are only session cookies. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.  


From time to time, DocketScope emails relevant product updates and other communications to people on our customer email list. These messages alert you to product enhancement, changes, and maintenance activities.

All communication between users and the DocketScope website and application is encrypted, as is all information stored in the application. We have appropriate security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.  

To provide increased value to our visitors and users, we may link to websites operated by third parties. However, we have no control over these websites, all of which have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of DocketScope. These linked websites are only for your convenience and therefore are provided for you to access at your own risk. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our website and the links placed upon it and therefore request any feedback on not only our site but for websites we link to as well (including if a specific link does not work).   

DocketScope is committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained. We may change this privacy policy from time to time at our sole discretion.  

We may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change in the future, we will provide notice of these policy changes through our website and provide you with the ability to opt-out of any new uses.
